”THE EAST AFRICA HIPHOP AWARDS”

 

The First East Africa Hip Hop Awards Are an annual Hip-hop award ceremony. Where by The Republic of Burundi, the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Uganda share close educational, social, economic

and cultural ties through Hip Hop culture.

 

Winners receive the Trophy as a honor of an achievement through the 5 main elements of Hip Hop for both male and female in Dj,Graphiti,Emceez,break dancing and Knowledge as well.The East African Partner States Recognise the role that Culture existence and survival of our communities, particularly for social cohesion, solidarity, stability and identity, and noting the importance of Culture and Sports in promoting unity and economic development and as tools for effective sustainable development, maintenance of peace, security and healthy societies

 

Vision

 

The Vision of the NGUZO TANO is to have a diverse, vibrant and progressive cultures as for the empowerment of the East African community who are followers of Hip Hop culture.

 

Mission

 

The Mission of the NGUZO TANO is to promote and develop Hip Hop cultures for the enhancement of regional peace, cohesion, healthy living and combating poverty amongst East Africans.

 

Objectives

 

●To increase awareness about the important role that arts and culture play in societal development

 

●To increase access to artistic and Hip Hop cultural activities in East Africa

 

●To provide platforms and develop sustainable structures for artistic and creative development and exposure of east African Hip Hop artists.

 

● Accelerate economic growth and development of the EAC Partner States through the attainment of the free movement of artists, goods, persons and labor, as for the the rights of establishment and residence and the free movement of services and capital in East Africa.

 

● Sustain the expansion and integration of economic activities within the Community, the benefit of which shall be equitably distributed among the Hip Hop artists in East Africa.

 

● Promote common understanding and cooperation among the nationals of the Partner States for their economic and social development based in the Hip Hop elements.

 

● Enhance research and technological advancement to accelerate economic and social development through Hip hop culture
